In collaboration with Zeale, a project of CatholicVote, we are excited to announce that the best-selling biography Sister, Soldier, Surgeon: The Life and Courage of Sister Deirdre Byrne, MD is FINALLY being made into a docudrama, and WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Sister Dede’s incredible and inspirational life as a Sister, US Army Colonel, and surgeon has already led to countless conversions. Her story of service on the battlefield, in the E.R., and on the front lines of the pro-life movement spark the imagination, attract even non-believers, and is a clarion call to holiness. Our children and grandchildren deserve to know.

Best-selling author Leisa Marie Carzon and CatholicVote’s Zeale are excited to help bring this incredible story to life, with hopes of it incentivizing a subsequent box-office, feature-film.

$50,000 is needed ASAP to create a 10-minute mini-documentary that focuses on Sister's three-fold calling as a Sister, US Army Colonel, and surgeon, as well as her reflections about the Christian founding of our nation [with hopes of a July 4th release].
$600,000 is needed to finish the entire docudrama in 2026.
With God's blessing, producers believe this project will incentivize a subsequent box-office feature film.
